“Michi-no-Eki” (government-designated roadside rest areas) are hubs for road trips, offering 本地 farm produce and souvenirs. Spurred by ministry initiatives, they have upgraded their checkouts. We list the major 支付 accepted.

Virtually all central 現金 registers at souvenir halls and 餐廳接受 cards. Ideal for buying premium 地方 items or 本地牛肉.

2. E-Money (Suica, iD, WAON, nanaco)

Commonly accepted at farm direct produce lanes and ticket-operated food courts. WAON enjoys high acceptance in regions close to Aeon distribution hubs.
